Steve Exum is a North Carolina native photographer who grew up in Raleigh. He is the son of Former NC Chief Justice James G. Exum and Judy Jamison Exum of Greensboro.
He and his wife Molly Wells Exum of Marion, NC, and children, Bella and Sawyer, live in Elon outside of Greensboro, North Carolina with their dog Murphy.
Exum is a commercial photographer who shoots for a mix of editorial and corporate clients. After graduating from UNC-CH with a journalism degree in 1992, Exum spent 3 years building a range of talents shooting for different daily newspapers. Exum moved to the Czech Republic in 1995 to become the picture editor for the Prague Business Journal.
He returned to North Carolina in 1997 to start his commercial photography business. Exum works out of his Elon studio but specializes in shooting on location. People, architecture, and high tech industry are his main subjects. You can view his professional work at www.exumphoto.com.
